A deluxe night of dinner, music, and serenity surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes under the Moroccan stars.
The experience begins with a scenic camel trek through Erg Chebbi, Morocco’s highest dunes to our private grand camp. Our private luxury camp is located just southeast of the village of Merzouga in a secluded area of the Erg Chebbi Dunes, a natural wonder of Morocco.
The opulent tented camp is composed of large bedroom tents with a palatial central tent for dining and entertainment all surrounded by Berber carpets and filled with pillowed seating.
You are welcomed by a traditional Sahara ceremony offering mint tea , dates, and almonds.
After settling in, an extraordinary desert night commences with dinner next to a campfire with traditional music in a private and majestic setting.
An overnight luxury desert camp with all amenities is followed by breakfast in the central tent and a return tour of the Erg Chebbi dunes by camel or 4×4 Land cruiser back to Merzouga center.
Our luxury Sahara desert camp is an intimate adventure that offers an authentic encounter with the desert nomadic culture of Morocco.
The bedroom tents offer all the comforts of a hotel and are available in double or twin beds with en suite facilities, including a hot shower, WC, and sink.
The central tent can hold up to five tables and offers traditional meals prepared by our chef and served by candlelight.
There is running water and electricity from a remote generator.
She has a way of allowing the trip to be thoroughly organized and at the same time be flexible enough to explore unanticipated places and people along the way. It may seem expensive but the days are full and there is no other way to explore so much of what Morocco has to offer. I have had two trip with Alecia and have never been disappointed for a minute.

By the end of the week we were old friends, exchanging email addresses and inviting him to visit us in the US. During our journey to southern Morocco Tahar took us to have tea in a cave with a nomad family; wash clothes in the river with women from the village; spend a night in the Sahara in the most luxurious tent imaginable; and dance with Gnaouan musicians. Our trip was magical. Had we not contacted Alecia, I know we would have missed so many experiences. She made it a trip we will remember forever, and made Morocco and its people a country we will hold dear to our hearts. It is without the slightest reservation that I highly recommend using Travel Exploration if you’re planning a trip to Morocco.
