LA MAUERESQUE

Be sure to arrive to Ryad Maryam with an appetite! With more than generous portions served, one feels like they have arrived at a Banquet suitable for a king. A freindly staff awaits to serve guests in the tranquil dining area, complete with tables set with flower arrangements or on the quiet patio area – as you choose. The Moroccan staple of Harira soup can be had before trying an array of Moroccan salads that are carefully prepared to tempt the pallet. LE QUAI

Restaurant Le Quai is located in the beautiful marina with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The black and white central color scheme and shiny tiled floors of its decor gives it a definite trendy vibe. With a main dining room, a terrace and a private lounge room for business meetings and special events, this spot can host many different tastes. The menu offers simple Mediterranean cuisine and seafood in generous portions and prepared using fresh produce. Try the oysters with pickled red onions and lemon before your main and finishing with a scrumptious pannacotta with violette. LA SCALA

During lunchtime the chef ( and a tank full of lobster) greets his guests on the terrace, and in the evening welcomes them to the warm decor of the inside dining-room. He expertly brings out the best of the local produce and ocean delights. A modern decor with floor to ceiling windows for gazing at the sea, it is an elegant evening out for a romantic dinner and business or family alike. Although the specialties are fish, cooked to perfection pasta dishes are also on the menu as well as select meat dishes. With a starter, main and dessert , guests are sure to leave happily satisfied. LE FLORE

Found right on the busy corniche, Le Flore is a tiny place exuding warmth and attentive service. A great spot for people watching and entertainment stop by here for lunch or dinner and soak up the surrounding ambience. The owner is always there mingling with diners and more than happy to give recommendations. Not surprisingly specializing in seafood of nearly any kind one can think of, this hotspot also serves up a great steak. Complimentary brandy is heard to pop up on different occasions. LITTLE NORWAY

Although not set on the beach as many of the restaurants here are, Little Norway is a gem of International cuisine. With seating on the outdoor patio or indoors, sit down a red and white draped tables surrounded by candlelight ( at night) or enjoy people watching during the day. Seafood being a staple in the oceanside city, the menu also offers up French, Mediterranean and Moroccan cuisine. The prawn, avocado and melon is a mouth watering starter before sinking your teeth into a juicy beef steak for a change of fish dishes. A good wine and beer menu is available also.

LE JARDIN D’EAU

A traditional and elegant decor with rattan chairs around black and yellow clothed tables and ornate columns, Le Jardins D’eau is a tasteful surrounding for an equally tasteful meal. An evening singer serenades pleasantly, while guests dine over Moroccan staples such as 7 vegetable couscous and camel tagine with a twist or a multitude of fish entrees for the seafood lovers. LA VILLA BLANCHE

With a menu catering for all tastes La Villa Blanche restaurant offers a French and Moroccan menu. Set in small Riad away from the tourist hubub section in the city, it is the perfect romantic evening out. There are 2 dining rooms inside and a fresh and breezy outdoor area to it and the decor makes it feel cosy and intimate with fresh flowers placed around the dining areas. They also have a bar area which is intimate and unique – when you order drinks they bring you freshly prepared canapés – perfect for a pre dining cocktail. Reservations are a must here.

Located in Agadir, The Blue Parasol is a restaurant with a nice setting that serves varied and hearty dishes. Reserved as being called “fine French cuisine” with reasonably prices and a creative chef, this is a fine choice for dining. For those who want a change from the standard local fare of fresh seafood and to change up the menu, Le Parasol Bleu is the place to dine. The staff is welcoming and warm.

JOUR ET NOIR Day and Night is probably the best known coffee shop in Agadir. It is located on the beachfront and offers International cuisine. Jour et Nuit also servers breafast and is a wonderful place to take in the sun while being served up fresh juice on its wonderful terrace that overlooks the beach.

SESEME SNACK GRILL

A favorite quick stop for locals as well as travellers, this cheap and cheerful place is found just behind the mosque in the town centre. Not fancy, but clean and beach themed with its cabana hut style, it serves up pizza, paninis and grilled meats at a good price and quickly. The portions are not too large but at a low cost one can order a few things and let their tastebuds decide what they will come back for next time!

SOUK EL HAD

Stop by the small stalls in the harbour, located seaside for a local experience. Choose your meal, whether it be the fresh catch of the day, guaranteed the fresh catch of the day or a variety from lobster,shrimp. crab, sea bass, sea brim, scallops, octopus, calamari and local fish. All fish is served with the option of being grilled or fried along with salad and bread.
